About Us
Aging Parent HQ is for the adult child who just realized a parent needs help — with home safety, care decisions, and how to pay for it — and doesn't want a hard sell in the middle of a hard week.
How we're different, in one sentence
We start with the smallest change that works. A $30/month medical alert solves more problems than most families believe, and a facility is the last rung of the ladder, not the first. Much of this industry earns its money moving your parent into care; we'd rather help them stay home safely as long as that's the right answer.
Our rules
- Never Medicare plans. We do not sell, compare, or take commissions on Medicare Advantage or supplement plans — that corner of the industry is why your parent's phone rings all day. For coverage questions we link the official resources (medicare.gov, your state's free SHIP counselors).
- Never reverse mortgages, "inheritance advances," or paid help with veterans' claims. VA claim assistance is free through accredited Veterans Service Officers, and we link you straight to them.
- No medical advice. Content about memory, falls, and health cites the National Institute on Aging, CDC, and Alzheimer's Association — and always ends the same way: talk with their doctor.
- Honest verdicts. Commissions never reorder our recommendations, and plenty of links here earn us nothing.
How we make money
Some links on this site pay us a commission — medical alert systems, home-safety upgrades, hearing aids, care services. Clearly marked, never required.
